Designer Inspired DIY: Owl Sweater
February 7, 2013 in DIY
I wasn’t super keen on sweaters with owls on them until I saw the Burberry Prorsum Fall 2012 runway show. I admit, I’m a slave to fashion, but I instantly fell in love with those sweaters!
The only thing I didn’t love about the owl sweaters was the price tag. $1200+ for a sweater is just a bit out of my realm of possibility. However, I did have a simple grey sweatshirt just begging to be used. I couldn’t find a great replica of the owl online, so I just decided to pick one I liked and go with it. I guess technically this is only loosely inspired by Burberry, but it is what put the idea in my mind.
It was comically easy to do using simple iron-on transfer paper. The great thing about it is I can definitely see myself wearing the sweatshirt a lot more often now.
Would you try this diy? Have you been up to any fun diy-ing yourself?
